The lightweight aluminium Forged Monoblock caliper is a one-piece, ultra-strong construction. Instead of two halves bolted together, the design features complex 5-axis CNC machining usually reserved for the highest specification motorsport kits. The result is a 6-piston caliper that is both stiffer and lighter than any other, combined with exceptional cooling properties and stunning detailing. Despite the size of these calipers, they are significantly lighter than the factory calipers. The caliper, pads and bracket weigh a combined 5.3kg, compared to 8.6kg (Golf 7R / Audi S3).
The brake disc with a larger diameter of 380mm x 32mm can withstand more heat and ensures that the fading effect in the brakes is reduced. The 2-piece discs (floating) are made of high-quality cast carbon steel - a mixture of high-quality steel combined with carbon - which provides a much higher coefficient of friction compared to normal steel brake discs. Cast carbon material can withstand high temperature stresses without excessive material expansion.
RacingLine specializes in developing brakes for VAG cars only. This means that RacingLine, unlike other brands in the market, has an eye for detail specifically for this type of car. For example, the hub adapter system plus built-in brake pad wear indicators are part of RacingLine's typical attention to detail. In addition, the piston dimensions are matched to the master cylinder and brake booster for perfect brake response.
With this big brake set from RacingLine you can choose from 4 colors of brake calipers: black, red, yellow, blue and anodized. The brake calipers of this set are so-called Monoblock brake calipers. These are made from one piece of aluminum. This ensures that the caliper is stronger, stiffer and lighter than comparable 2-piece brake calipers. In addition, you will receive everything you need for the installation of this set (incl. braided brake lines).
